Learning to sew can open up a new world of making and mending that's only limited by your imagination!
Sewing by hand has a number of other benefits. Hand sewing develops fine motor skills. It develops hand strength and dexterity as you practise the coordination skills needed when sewing by hand.

Using this kit you will learn the basic of sewing by hand, including how to:
-Select and cut thread
-Thread and knot a needle
-Sew using Running stitch
-Sew using Back stitch
-Use a pom pom maker to create a pom pom

The skills learnt from this kit can be built on and used for our Felt Koala Sewing Kit and Pom Pom Garland Making activity.

- 1 large plastic needle
- 1 timber pom pom maker
- 2 x 8m of wool yarn (colours to be selected)
- 1 set of instruction on how to use the sewing card and pom pom maker
